The Cross River State College Of Education, Akamkpa, presented the five Degree Programmes affiliated to University of Calabar (UNICAL) for accreditation, the programmes includes; Agricultural Science, Business Education, Human Kinetics & Health Education, Mathematics and Social Studies.

The Management of the College, led by the Provost, Dr. James E. Archibong, graciously welcomed a team from the National University Commission (NUC), led by Prof. Enoedem Usoro, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Uyo. The Provost assured the team of maximum co-operation and attention.

The team leader applauds the College in maintaining the educational standard of leaning despite diminutive resources in the College, mostly in areas of infrastructures and facilities, were hugely commendable. The team leader pointed out salient issues and areas affecting the College, like research, Staff strength, conducive office space amongst others and need to be address, in her few words, she said, "there's no perfection anywhere and they never expected to see heaven", the College is not annulled in having challenges and loopholes but remedial approach should be exploit to cushion those loopholes for the effective flow of learning, teaching and research.

The Provost assured the team for a step-up approach in addressing the areas the team pointed out. He complimented them for their sensitivities, commitments and hardwork geared towards the progress of the College, State and Nation at large.

Conclusively, we thank God for a successful conduct of the excise and equally appreciates the Director, Degree programme, Head of Departments and other Staff who stood firmly by the accreditation team to ensure a hitch free and successful excise. We prayed for positive results that will uplift the citadel of leaning to an enviable heights.
